The Esquilino Hotel, located right in front of the Saint Mary Major Basilica, is in an old stately home, which in 1920 was converted into a cosy hotel. Its famous guests include the lieutenant colonel of Argentina. The hallway leading you from the hall to the rooms is a tribute to the glorious Roman period with its golden statues and fine stylish sofas. All rooms are well appointed in ancient Venetian style and coloured with soft paints.
